Health Guarantee

We are committed to your complete satisfaction.  While we take great measures to ensure the soundness of our dogs, any puppy may develop health problems. Accordingly, we offer the following guarantee:

This purebred German Shepherd puppy has been found to be healthy and has received its 1st set of puppy shots and been treated for worms.
The buyer is encouraged to have the puppy examined by their own veterinarian, and have 2 other sets of shots given, at 9 and 12 weeks of age (refer to puppy’s health record).
The buyer is also advised not to take the puppy into public places or allow it to socialize with dogs that may be unvaccinated until its immunizations are in order.

Hereditary Guarantee

This dog/puppy is guaranteed for a period of 1 year from date of birth against any congenital defects that would severely impair the dog’s quality of life.  If a congenital problem is confirmed by a Vet of the breeder’s choice (expense to be paid by the buyer), a replacement dog/puppy of equal value will be provided as soon as one is available.

This dog/puppy is guaranteed for a period of 2 years from the date of birth against Canine Hip Dysplasia.  Hip Dysplasia is a congenital malformation of the ball and socket joint of the hip. A dog may or may not become lame because of the disease, depending upon its severity.  Although there is no guarantee that a puppy will not get hip dysplasia, we are making every effort to avoid such an occurrence by using stock that has been x-rayed and rated by the OFA.  In the event that one of our puppies does become dysplastic, we will replace the puppy with another of the same quality.  The dog/ puppy with CKC limited registration who is found to have a mild condition before 30 months of age, which condition does not in any way shorten or diminish the quality of life for that puppy, will not be replaced. The dog/puppy with CKC full registration who is found to have a mild condition before 18 months of age, should again have the dog tested between 18 and 30 months, as hip conformation can change during the growth period. The OFA letter of diagnosis must be returned to the breeder.  If the buyer chooses to keep the puppy, a certificate of sterilization and the CKC papers must be sent to the breeder before any replacement will be made.  This guarantee is void for a dog that has been bred or has sired a litter.  The breeder will not be responsible for any veterinary, transportation or other expenses incurred.

If for any reason the buyer is unable to keep the dog/puppy at any point in its lifetime, we request having the option of taking back the dog/puppy or helping to find another suitable home.  (We would never want to see a dog/puppy end up in a shelter.)

The breeder does not guarantee against any environmental temperament problems, environmental referring to abuse, neglect, teasing, or failing to train the dog properly.  The breeder strongly suggests the buyer to take their new pet to obedience classes to learn proper handling techniques.

Please feel free to contact us with any questions or problems that arise during your pet's lifetime.  We would also appreciate your updates as this helps to keep us informed on the bloodline and of your satisfaction.
